Deluxe Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 cup butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
1 1/4 cup semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat sugars and butter in large bowl on medium speed about 3 minutes or until fluffy. Beat in vanilla and eggs. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in nuts (if using) and chocolate.

Drop by level 1/4 cupfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten slightly with a fork. Bake 11 to 14 minutes or until edges are light brown. (Centers will be soft.) Cool 3 to 4 minutes;remove from cookie sheet. Makes about 22 cookies.

Wow, those look delicious! I love my chocolate chip cookies soft and thin like those look.

About TWD, Laurie just posted that the group is currently not accepting new members. However, keep your eyes open on the site, you never know when they'll be room for more! And you should bake along, regardless- I'd love to see your creations!
